Juniper acquired a stalled 1,027-acre mixed-use luxury resort development site in Puerto Rico in November 2022.  The property is situated in an opportunity zone and once developed will include a luxury 5-star hotel, an 18-hole designed championship golf course, and approximately 300 branded residential condos and homes.

Juniper originated a mezzanine loan to facilitate the construction of a 100-key boutique luxury hotel situated on 317 acres in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The resort successfully opened in July 2021.

Hotel Nyack

Juniper acquired a defaulted senior mortgage loan secured by the Time Nyack hotel located in Nyack, NY.  Subsequently, Juniper acquired ownership of the property through the bankruptcy court, at a significant discount to replacement cost.  The Time Nyack is a 133-key hotel that originally opened in 2016 and was successfully rebranded to Hotel Nyack under Juniper ownership in 2021.

Juniper acquired the historic hard Rock Hotel & Casino, a 1504-key hotel and casino in Las Vegas, NV. The hotel recently completed a significant renovation and rebranded as the Virgin Las Vegas.

St. Regis Toronto

Juniper acquired a non-performing loan secured by the Trump International Hotel and Tower in Toronto, CN.  Subsequently, the loan was restructured, and Juniper obtained ownership of the property.  The 58-story luxury hotel and residence property was rebranded to a St. Regis.
